Re-Opening Policy
GCPL will reopen with limited in-house public usage at a time that follows Governor Justice’s reopening plan.
Open Tuesday – Friday 10 am to 4 pm. Sunday hours to be added at a later date.

Patrons may enter the library to access materials and services on a limited basis as follows below.

Returned materials must be placed in the outdoor book drop. Returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours. No returned materials in building.

Patrons must read temporary policy before entering the building.

There is a limit of 9 patrons in the building at one time as per government guidelines.

There is a ½ hour daily time limit per patron to be in the building.

At this time no children under 12 years old permitted in the building.

Patrons will be required to wear protective face covering.

Patrons must consent to contactless temperature check. Anyone registering temperature over 100.4 will not be admitted.

Patrons are to respect social distancing guidelines.

Patrons with viral symptoms (i.e. fever, sore throat, coughing, etc.) are requested to seek remote services by calling the library rather than entering the building

Computer access is limited. There are three active computers with a ½ hour time limit per patron per day. No staff assistance will be available for computers.

Fax, notary and passport services are available by appointment only.

There is a 5 book limit at checkout. You may have additional items on your card but only 5 in hand at check out.

Fines will continue to be waived until the Library resumes regular service hours

We encourage contactless materials pick-up. Curb service will continue.

We encourage patrons to use own devices for online use, WiFi is available.

Library furniture may not be used.

Patron access to the stacks may be limited. Patrons will be encouraged to place browsed items that they do not wish to check out on a cart to allow staff to quarantine items.

We encourage our patrons to permit the staff to retrieve desired materials to reduce handling of materials.

There is no access to public restrooms at this time.
